LORD’S RACING TEAM RETURNS TO BRL EUROPE FOR THE JEREZ FINALE WITH LINAS PEČIUKAITIS AND AUDRIUS MAKARSKAS

LORD’S Racing Team is ready to return to the Bagger Racing League European Cup for the final round of the 2026 season, scheduled for October 31st and November 1st at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto.

The Lithuanian team will line up with two riders, Linas Pečiukaitis #66 and Audrius Makarskas #45, bringing the colors of Lithuania and the Baltic region back onto the BRL Europe grid.

For both riders, Jerez will represent a special challenge, combining the unique characteristics of racing baggers with one of Europe’s most iconic circuits. For LORD’S Racing Team, however, the weekend will carry an even deeper meaning, as the team returns to competition following the passing of its founder and team leader, Dainius.

Ahead of the Spanish finale, we spoke with both riders about their expectations, their experience with racing baggers and what this opportunity means to them.

Linas Pečiukaitis #66: “Representing Lithuania at the BRL Europe final is incredibly special”

Linas, could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your racing background?

“This season marks a completely new and incredible chapter in my racing career. This is my very first season on a racing bagger, and this type of machinery has required a completely new skill set. This year I successfully competed in the Bagger Racing Lithuania Cup, which allowed me to find my feet and adapt to the unique characteristics of these bikes. The experience gained on my home tracks has given me the confidence to take this next massive step and prepare for my international debut.”

What does it mean to race in the Bagger Racing League European Cup with LORD’S Racing Team and to represent Lithuania internationally?

“It is a huge honor and, at the same time, a great responsibility. LORD’S Racing Team is the only team representing the Baltic states in this championship, so flying the Lithuanian flag at the BRL Europe final is incredibly special. Most importantly, this race will be dedicated to the memory of my dear friend and the founder of LORD’S Racing Team, Dainius. The entire LORD’S Performance team is fully prepared to give its absolute maximum.”

How does racing a performance bagger compare with the motorcycles you are normally used to?

“A racing bagger is a heavy and unbelievably powerful piece of machinery. You have to deal with massive torque, and the physics in the corners and braking zones are completely different. You have to manage the immense weight, maximize the potential of the modified chassis, maintain strict precision and manage the high speed all at once.”

What do you think will be the biggest challenge at Jerez?

“The biggest challenge will be rapid adaptation. While I know my home tracks, the Jerez circuit is completely new territory for me. Add to that the fact that this is only my first season on a bagger, while many European competitors already have countless engine hours accumulated on these bikes. The main challenge will be using the limited practice sessions to quickly learn the racing lines, dial in the bike’s setup with the team engineers and find my rhythm at maximum pace.”

Jerez is a legendary and very technical circuit. What are your expectations for the weekend?

“My primary goal is to get as much track time and practice on this circuit as possible. I want to unlock the full potential of the bike built by LORD’S Performance, stay mistake-free and consistently improve my lap times with each session. Of course, you always dream of fighting for better positions, but the absolute priority is to deliver valuable data to the team and successfully cross the finish line.”

What are you most looking forward to about the BRL weekend, both on track and in the paddock?

“On track, I cannot wait for the moment the lights go out and the real battle begins. The roar of those V-Twin engines echoing through the corners of Jerez is going to be unforgettable. Inside the paddock, I am looking forward to reliving the friendly Bagger culture atmosphere that I experienced last year. BRL Europe is known not just for top-level professionalism, but also for its incredible sense of community. I am excited to share experiences with racers from other countries, check out their technical setups and simply enjoy this historic weekend.”

Audrius Makarskas #45: experience, versatility and a new challenge

Alongside Pečiukaitis, LORD’S Racing Team will field Audrius Makarskas #45, a rider with a long and varied motorsport background. “I’ve been road racing motorcycles for eight years and I also ride Enduro. Before getting into motorcycle racing, I raced cars for 20 years and was a national champion several times.”

For Makarskas, the trip to Spain is also another opportunity to race outside Lithuania and discover a new environment. “It’s always fun to travel beyond your own country, not just to circuits such as Slovakia Ring or Pannonia-Ring.”

Like Pečiukaitis, Makarskas highlights the very specific challenge represented by a racing bagger. “After riding agile Supersport or Superbike motorcycles, riding a bagger is a real challenge because of its weight and handling characteristics.” says Audrius.

His approach to the Jerez weekend is simple and perfectly in line with the spirit of the category: “I’m looking forward to a fun ride and a great time with the group and fellow enthusiasts.”

Simon Lord and LORD’S Racing Team: “Live for today”

For LORD’S Racing Team, the Jerez round will go far beyond the sporting result.

Speaking on behalf of himself and the team, Simon Lord explained the meaning behind their return to BRL Europe:

“After the passing of our team leader, Dainius, we were reminded once again of a simple lesson: ‘live for today.’

We don’t know what awaits us at the Jerez race round, and we don’t know what will come after it. But we do know that we’ll meet the other racers and have a great time together. For now, that is all we hope for.

Thank you to the Bagger Racing League Europe organizers for giving us the opportunity to take part.”

The final round of the 2026 Bagger Racing League European Cup will take place at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto on October 31st and November 1st, where Pečiukaitis, Makarskas and LORD’S Racing Team will join the rest of the BRL Europe paddock for the final battle of the season.
