BRL EUROPEAN CUP: THRILLS AND EMOTIONS IN ESTORIL

The Portuguese circuit of Estoril hosted, over the weekend of September 13-14, the third round of the Bagger Racing League European Cup, held alongside the Spanish Superbike Championship. An event filled with plot twists, close battles, and plenty of adrenaline.

The opening race was interrupted on lap three due to a technical issue on Kevin Manfredi’s bike, which forced Race Direction to wave the red flag and end the race prematurely. Victory went to Portuguese Andre Pires, ahead of Manuel Grandi and Andrea Tomio, who completed the podium. Manfredi, who was battling for the top positions, was forced to retire due to an oil filter problem. His team, Lords Performance, worked tirelessly to ensure his participation in Race 2.

In Race 2, a leading group immediately broke away, with Manuel Grandi, Andrea Tomio, Ruben Xaus, and Andre Pires setting the pace. After a strong start that had brought him up to second place, Manfredi was once again forced to retire, this time due to a gearbox issue.

After six action-packed laps, victory went to Manuel Grandi, who crossed the line ahead of Andrea Tomio and Spanish legend Ruben Xaus, third on the podium.

The BRL European Cup will return to action on the weekend of November 8-9 at the legendary Jerez de la Frontera circuit, for the fourth and decisive round of the season.
